Abstract:

The IUPUI Open Access Fund underwrites reasonable publication charges for articles published in fee-based, peer-reviewed journals that are openly accessible. This fund addresses changes in scholarly communications while increasing the impact of and access to scholarship created by IUPUI faculty and graduate students. The Fund was established in 2013 as a two-year pilot. After a successful pilot, the fund has been supported annually by University Library, Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research, Ruth Lilly Medical Library, and participating IUPUI schools.
